Scan in Word - that's how it's done
If you want to scan a document directly in Word, it works differently for each version of Office. We'll show you the options for scanning in Word.
Word: Scan directly in the document
- Word 2003: Click on "Insert" in the menu bar at the top and select "From scanner or camera" under "Graphics". You can then make further adjustments and start the scan.
- Word 2007/2010: In the somewhat newer versions of Word, the function can no longer be reached using the mouse. The scan can only be carried out with a key combination. Hold down the [Alt] key at the bottom left of the keyboard and then press the letters [E] + [G] + [S] one after the other.
- Word 2013: Unfortunately, under the latest version of Word, direct scanning in Word is no longer supported. Here you have to scan the document separately and then paste it into Word.
