World of Warships: All battleships in comparison
Battleships are the heavy artillery in World of Warships. We compare all ships for you and help you find your favorite.
World of Warships: All battleships in the USA
- South Carolina: Rank 3, 325, 000 silver, 29, 000 life. The ship has good penetration and armor in its rank, but is very slow and has a limited range. There is also a lack of air defense.
- Wyoming: Rank 4, 870, 000 silver, 41, 500 life. Very easy to control and equipped with a lot of powerful weapons, but range and speed of movement are rather poor. Also very vulnerable to torpedo attacks.
- Arkansas Beta: Rank 4, 500 gold, 43, 800 life. Has six upgrade slots, is faster than the Wyoming, but has less range. No air defense either. Still suitable as a premium ship for hunting for credits and captain training.
- New York: Rank 5, 1, 880, 000, 42, 600 life. The ship is compact, well armored and equipped with heavy guns - with upgrades against air strikes. The basic model, on the other hand, is still very bad against aircraft and generally hardly mobile. Very vulnerable to torpedoes.
- New Mexico: 6th place, 3, 610, 000 silver, 48, 200 life. The ship is very slow - even when reloading. The defense works very well against everything on the same level - including torpedoes and, after upgrades, also air strikes.
- Colorado: 7th place, 6, 000, 000 silver, 49, 000 life. Excellent air defense and very good armor like New Mexico. In addition, very good damage, which is further concentrated, especially by the narrow-flying projectiles. Secondary weapons and speed are rather bad. The range also lags behind that of the Japanese.
- North Carolina: Rank 8, 9, 800, 000 silver, 53, 700 life. Good range, air defense and speed. But relatively imprecise shots and a large target area on the broadside. Armor-piercing ammunition is also hardly effective.
- Iowa: Rank 9, 15, 500, 000 silver, 68, 100 life. Long range, good damage. Bullet speed, armor and air defense are also good. The very high speed of movement is offset by slow rudders and the enormous size of the ship, which make it an easy target and very susceptible to torpedoes and broadsides.
- Montana: Rank 10, 20, 800, 000 silver, 96, 300 life. Acceptable speed paired with a large number of cannons and very good air defense. The higher damage compared to the Yamato is compensated for by the shorter range and greater dispersion.
World of Warships: All battleships in Japan
- Mikasa: 2nd place, 2, 000 gold, 31, 200 life. A relatively small battleship with good turning speed, powerful armor and secondary armament for close combat. Primary armament, however, is comparatively weak and with a poor range.
- Kawachi: Rank 3, 335, 000 silver, 35, 800 life. Heavily armed with a large number of cannons and very agile, generally not very mobile and also very slow in reloading. Air defense is practically non-existent.
- Myogi: Rank 4, 860, 000 silver, 42, 000 life. Powerful weapons with extremely good range, but with which you have to aim very precisely. Also good air defense after upgrades and comparatively good speed. But it can be maneuvered well and has terrible reload times.
- Ishizuchi: Rank 4, 2, 500 gold, 45, 700 life. All the advantages of a premium ship combined with many life points and good maneuverability. Air defense and armor are relatively bad.
- Congo: 5th place, 1, 780, 000 silver, 49, 500 life. Very fast and agile battleship with excellent range, which bullets know how to use at good speed. However, the shots are widely scattered and the armor offers little protection against torpedoes or armor-piercing ammunition. Air defense is also pretty bad.
- Fuso: Rank 6, 3, 670, 000 silver, 44, 900 life. Equipped with many cannons that have an extreme range and destroy almost everything with a perfect hit. This has its price: the ship is susceptible to fire and torpedoes, and for full firepower it needs a broadside shot that invites you to score goals against it. The shots also scatter heavily and do not penetrate armor well.
- Nagato: 7th place, 6, 350, 000 silver, 49, 000 life. The ship not only has many life points, but also good secondary weapons that keep enemies away. The primary weapons are also better than their US counterpart. Aiming works pretty well, but the cannons scatter heavily and take a long time to reload. The ship is also easy to spot.
- Amagi: Rank 8, 10, 900, 000 silver, 59, 300 life. Very good air defense and very accurate cannons, which cause massive damage especially as a broadside. However, the armor is relatively poor and the range of the weapons also leaves something to be desired.
- Izumo: Rank 9, 15, 900, 000 silver, 76, 000 life. At the latest after successful upgrades, the ship is fast, easy to maneuver and has good and, above all, accurate primary weapons. The frontal armoring, air defense and above all the secondary armament are also impressive. Without upgrades, the ship is relatively bad and above all the enormous size invites enemy fire.
- Yamato: Rank 10, 20, 600, 000 silver, 97, 200 life. Extreme armor, health and regeneration combined with powerful primary, secondary and anti-aircraft weapons. In addition, outstanding range. The ship is also extremely large, making it a good target for enemy fire. Large range also enables easy evasion. The towers take ages to line up and at the same time there are some very vulnerable spots. Good positioning is therefore vital.
World of Warships: More battleships
Although these factions are not yet as powerfully equipped as Japan and the USA, the USSR, UK and Germany also each have a battleship. All three are premium ships with the corresponding advantages.
- Imperator Niolai I: USSR, rank 4, 2, 800 gold, 44, 800 life. Heavy armor concentrates on the citadel and protects it well, but the deck in particular suffers. In addition, the ship is relatively slow, the rudder for it the faster. But the low visibility is particularly good compared to other premium ships.
- Warspite: UK, rank 6, 6, 500 gold, 53, 800 life. Massive primary and secondary weapons with good shot concentration and acceptable speed. Protection against torpedoes is also good. Acceleration and turret alignment are slow and due to the few cannons, every shot has to sit perfectly. Air defense and bullet speed are also poor.
- Tirpiz: Germany, rank 8, 12, 500 gold, 69, 300 life. Very fast in all aspects: high maximum speed, fast reload time and quick tower alignment. Armor, range and bullet speed are also acceptable, but the weapons themselves are above average. Torpedoes are rather bad and, conversely, the Tirpiz is poorly protected from torpedoes. Air defense and size are other weaknesses.
