WoW: Invite players to a group
In World of Warcraft it is important that you do instances and quests as a team. This practical tip shows you how to invite players to a group in WoW.
Invite players near you to a WoW group
If a player is in sight, you can add them to a group with a click of the mouse:
- Target the player you want to invite to your group.
- Right-click on its icon.
- Now select "Invite" to send a group invitation to your counterpart.
Invite WoW players to the group via chat
If your teammates are out of sight, you have to invite them via chat:
- Press the [Enter] key to open the chat bar.
- In the chat, type in the "invite" command (see screenshot). You replace "player name" with the name of the desired player. Confirm your entry by pressing [Enter] twice.
- Alternatively, the German command "invite" works.
Note that a group only exists temporarily. As soon as a group member logs out or ends WoW, they automatically leave the group. If you want to play with friends or teammates permanently, you should think about a guild. If your friends don't like WoW, you can find the best World of Warcraft alternatives in our photo series.
