Xbox One drive defective - what to do?
If your Xbox One drive is defective, in some cases you can fix the problem yourself, in others you have to send the device in. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Xbox One drive defective - what to do?
- Disc: If the disc is not read, insert it into another console or use a different disc. If the error is on the CD / DVD, clean the data carrier and insert it again.
- BluRay: If the problem only occurs with BluRays, check whether the BluRay app has been installed correctly and reinstall it if in doubt. If you have not bought the console or the BluRay in Europe, the BluRay may not be approved for the region of the Xbox.
- Update: An update of the console can also help. In the "Settings" you will find all available updates under the "System" category. To do this, you need a connection to the Internet.
- Reset: Turn the Xbox One off and on again. To do this, press and hold the power button on the device for about 5 seconds.
- Warranty: If your Xbox One drive is defective, you are entitled to a warranty. You can request a repair or replacement on the Microsoft website.
