Xbox One: Connect speakers - how it works
To make the game even more fun, you can connect speakers to the Xbox One. We show you what you need and how it works in this practical tip.
Connect Xbox One to computer boxes - so it'll work
Most PC speakers are connected by jack plugs. In addition to the speakers, you also need an audio adapter (jack socket, cinch socket) to connect the speakers to the Xbox One.
- The Xbox AV cable consists of one red, one white and one yellow cinch cable. The red and white transmit the sound. So insert the two cinch plugs into the chinch sockets of the adapter.
- Connect the boxes with the jack plug to the jack socket of the adapter. The sound is now transferred to the speakers when playing.
Xbox with Dolby Surround System: Even better sound for the console
PC boxes only transmit a stereo signal. You get better sound when you connect a Dolby Surround system to Xbox One. In addition to the Dolby Surround System, you need an optical Xbox cable and an amplifier with an optical input.
- The connector for the Xbox AV cable is the connector for the optical sound cable. Connect the Xbox and the amplifier with the optical cable.
- Then connect the Dolby Surround System to the amplifier - you can start playing with surround sound.
Playing blurays on the XBox One is even more fun with good speakers.
