How to connect Xbox One to a PC
Note: This process requires Xbox One and PC both to be connected to the same network. This is possible both via WLAN and with the help of a LAN cable.
- To stream games, you need a PC with Windows 10.Download the Xbox app on it.
- Then log in to the Xbox app on Windows 10 with the same gamer tag as the Xbox itself.
- In your Xbox One settings, under Preferences, enable Allow Game Stream On Other Devices.
- Now select under "SmartGlass connection" either "From all SmartGlass devices" or "Only from profiles registered on this Xbox".
- Finally, click on the "Connect" option on the left in the Xbox app on your PC.
Connect Xbox One to PC as a router replacement
You can also use your Internet connection on Xbox One using a PC. For this you need two network cards, a USB modem with at least one Internet connection and an Ethernet cable.
- On Windows, click Start and look for "ncpa.cpl" (without the quotation marks). Then press [Enter].
- Right-click the "Properties" button for the connection you want to use. Navigate to the "Release" tab.
- Now check "Allow other users on the network to use this computer's Internet connection".
- Finally connect the console and PC with a network cable.
