Convert XCF to JPG - Here's how
The open source image editor Gimp only saves images in XCF format. This practical tip shows you how to convert these into JPG files.
With Gimp from XCF to JPG - so it'll work
If you have an image that was created and saved with Gimp, it is usually in XCF format. Since you cannot open this format with every program, you first have to reformat it, for example in the common JPG format.
- Open the XCF file in Gimp. If you have not yet installed the image editing program, you can download the software as free of charge.
- Go to "Export as" in the "File" menu.
- Enter ".webp" as the file extension in the top line and click on "Export". In the next window you can still enter storage options and then the image is in JPG format.
