XCOM 2: release and system requirements
On February 5, the strategy game XCOM 2 was released, which rounds off the background story of the first part as a prequel. We'll tell you the official system requirements for your computer and the new release dates for the console implementation in this article.
XCOM 2: System requirements for the computer version
XCOM 2 is based on Unreal Engine 3, which fortunately means that the system requirements are not very high. The game is relatively frugal, especially in the minimal requirements.
- Operating system: XCOM 2 is officially playable from Windows 7 in the 64-bit version.
- Processor: The minimum requirement for the CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core 2.6 GHz. At least a 3 GHz quad-core processor such as the Intel Core i7-4770S is recommended.
- Graphics card: Here it should be at least an ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB. However, the manufacturer recommends an ATI Radeon HD 7970 or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770.
- RAM: From 4 GB you can play XCOM 2, 8 GB RAM is recommended.
- Hard drive: The strategy hit is extremely greedy and takes up around 45 GB of storage space.
XCOM 2: Release for the first time also for the PS4 and XBOX One consoles
First, like the first part, the manufacturer did not want to publish a console version. Firaxis and 2K have already given a specific date.
- Accordingly, XCOM 2 will be released for the consoles on September 9, 2016.
- The game will also be available for pre-order on xcom.com soon.
- As a pre-orderer you will also receive the "Resistance Fighter Pack" DLC, which contains special outfits and war paintings as well as the additional character "Survivors of the Old War".
- The "XCOM 2 Digital Deluxe Edition" already includes all paid DLCs.
