If you have forgotten the secret question and answer of your Yahoo account, you have to choose an alternative way to reset your password. We show you how to do this.

1. When you log in to Yahoo, indicate that you forgot your password. You are now presented with two options for restoring the password:
2. The "Alternative email address": Instead of answering the security question, select "Send a link to the alternative email address".
3. You can then use the link to reset your password. If you have not left an alternative address, you will not be shown this route.
4. In this case, you only have Yahoo customer service: describe your concerns and be persistent. You usually get a rejection first.
5. However, it is worth negotiating a verification via customer service, for example by sending a copy of your ID card.
