Set up Yahoo Mail on Android
A Yahoo mail address can be easily set up on Android devices. All you need is a suitable email client on your smartphone and the necessary IMAP data.

There are countless email apps for Android smartphones and tablets, which differ only slightly in their operation. We use three examples to show you how to set up your Yahoo Mail account on Android:
- Use "Kaiten Email", click on the big plus symbol in the main menu in the top right corner. Enter your complete Yahoo email address and password and click on "Manual Setup" in the lower left corner. Then select "IMAP account".
- The standard email app on HTC phones will ask you which mail service provider you are using when you first start up. Select "Yahoo! Mail" here and enter your email address and your Yahoo password below. Click on "Manual setup", on the next page you can set the protocol to "IMAP".

Set up the Yahoo Mail account via IMAP - Here's how on Android
In the individual mail apps you will be asked for the settings for the incoming server. For this you need the following data:
- Username: Your full Yahoo email address (with "@ yahoo.de / .com")
- Password: Your password for the Yahoo Mail login
- IMAP server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Security type: SSL
- (Server) port: 993
Under "Outgoing server" you should find the option "Registration required". Activate this and enter the following data:
- Username: Your Yahoo email address
- Password / Password: The associated password
- SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Security type: SSL
- Port: 465
