This guide shows you what you can do if the letters Z and Y are reversed on the keyboard.
Keyboard: Z and Y swapped
If you swapped Z and Y, you accidentally activated the American keyboard layout. With a key combination you can switch the language of the input back to "German" - just follow the steps below.
- With the key combination Shift + Alt the input language is changed. You normally use the shift key to capitalize, so you can quickly accidentally change the layout.
- Under Windows XP, Vista and 7 you will find a small button in the start bar that shows the current language. After pressing the key combination, "DEU" should appear there again instead of "ENG".
