You can easily freeze rows or columns in Google Sheets. You can find out exactly how this works in this practical tip.
Freeze rows or columns - how it works:
Fixing cells is particularly useful, for example, if the first row with the individual column headings should always remain visible when scrolling in very large tables. You can even freeze up to ten rows and up to five columns at the same time.
- First open a Google spreadsheet in your browser.
- Go to the menu item "View" above.
- Here you can already see the two sub-items "Fix rows" and "Fix columns". Depending on which of the two you want to do, click on it and then select the desired number.
- The fixed rows or columns can now be recognized by the gray dividing lines in the document.
- To remove the fixation, go the same way and then select "No fixed rows / columns".
By the way: With Google Docs, for example, it is also possible to create a survey. You can find out how this works in this practical tip.
