At the end of October, the time has come again: in 2019, too, we will have to change from summer to winter due to the time change. We tell you when the time changes and whether you can sleep longer or shorter that night.
Time change 2019: winter time will begin soon
- In 2019, winter time starts on the night of October 26th to October 27th. On Sunday at 3:00 a.m. the clocks are turned back to 2:00 a.m.
- This will restore winter time, the original time. Fortunately, this allows you to sleep (or stay awake) an hour longer. The hour that was taken from you in summer time is now returned to you.
Winter time 2019: what needs to be considered when changing over?
- If you have important appointments on Sunday, you should make sure that your alarm clock changes. Smartphones and radio alarm clocks change over automatically. If in doubt, you should change over all other devices on Saturday evening.
- If you are traveling at the time of the time change, you should check the times again here. Numerous countries do not change the time. Flights take the time change into account in all cases, but subsequent connections can be planned incorrectly due to the change.
