Zelda Extension 1: "The Legendary Trials"

"The Legendary Trials" is the first of two expansion packs for The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. The content consists of new game modes and features that make the existing world of Hyrule more extensive.
The first gameplay expansion is the so-called master mode, a challenging mode that increases the difficulty.
The strength or rank of all opponents is increased. You will also face difficult opponents early on in the game.
The additional content "Examination of the sword" offers a new mode in a separate area, in which you start without weapons and have to survive more and more rounds / rooms.
If you pass the special test, the master sword is permanently upgraded to level 60 as a reward and no longer has a cool-down phase.
The "Hero's Path" unlocks a new map function. It records the distance you have traveled for the past 200 hours, which you can fast forward and rewind at any time. This feature also works retrospectively with previous savegames without DLC.
In addition, the first DLC package contains new equipment and items. The outfits include the Tingle, Majora's Mask, Phantom and Midna outfit. The Krog mask makes it easier for you to find Krog seeds and the Teleport medallion allows you to create a fast travel point.

"The Ballad of the Gentiles" will be published in winter 2017. The second DLC will include additional story elements and a new dungeon.
The producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that they will control the hero Link and that they will also learn more about Princess Zelda.
The four warriors Mipha, Daruk, Urbosa and Revali will also play a role. They will also be available as amiibo figures for the release of the expansion. No further information is currently known.
The season pass includes access to both expansion packs.
