Merge cells in LibreOffice tables
In this practical tip we will show you how to merge cells from tables in LibreOffice.
LibreOffice: Merge cells into tables
- First select all cells in LibreOffice that you want to connect.
- Click on "Format" at the top of the menu bar and select the option of the same name under the "Connect cells" category.
- With "Merge and center cells" you align the content in the middle of the cell.
- If the cells are already described, you can decide whether you want to move the contents of all cells into one. If you answer "Yes", LibreOffice shows all content. With "No" you only see the top cell.
- If you want to cancel the connection, you can "Split cells" at any time using "Format" and "Connect cells".
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to make the table borders invisible in LibreOffice.
