Encrypting private files is useful but very time-consuming. You can also hide zip archives in image files. In this way, personal documents are well protected from prying eyes.
Hide zip files in pictures
Use the command prompt to hide your private archives in the image files. To do this, you must first create a zip archive and put the file with the desired image in the same folder.
- Then press the key combination [Windows] + [R] and enter the command "cmd". Now the command prompt opens.
- Navigate to the folder of your two files. To do this, enter the command "cd folder path". For example, if your zip archive is on your desktop, the command is "cd C: \ Users \ Username \ Desktop".
- Hide the archive with the command "copy / B image file.webp + / B zip archive.zip new image file.webp" in the image file. You replace the individual parts with the corresponding file names.
- Windows now creates the desired image file. You can view the photo as normal with a double click. If you open the recording in a pack program like 7-Zip, the contents of the archive will be visible.
Of course, you can also encrypt your archives with a password. This is a little safer, but not as chic as the picture method.
