Create zip file under MacOS: Here's how
With the necessary knowledge, you can create a zip file under MacOS without any additional programs. This compresses your files and stores them in an archive. For example, you can combine ten different text documents into one zip file. The archive then takes up only a fraction of the storage space, like the ten files together. You will see an advantage in this at the latest if you send an email with an attachment - the message literally shoots through the network with the zip file. Our step-by-step guide shows you how to compress your data under MacOS.
Create a zip file on MacOS
- Select all files that you want to combine into a zip file.
- Open the context menu with the right mouse button.
- Click on the entry "Compress X objects"
- In the same folder you will now find the zip file with the name "Archiv.zip". You can of course change the name as you like.
