5 foods for clean laundry: this is how clothes get clean
Doing laundry with food sounds strange at first. However, there are actually some things in your kitchen that can really clean your laundry. We show you 5 tricks that everyone can imitate.
Laundry and groceries - a clean connection
Faded colors or a gray veil does not have to be with white laundry - thanks to helpful food.
- Black clothing quickly becomes neglected if it fades due to frequent washing. You can freshen up black by adding two cups of coffee or black tea directly into the drum for washing.
- Colorful laundry loses the radiance of the colors because every time it is washed, the soap remains in the fibers. If you can remove these soap residues, the colors will shine again. Black pepper is an effective remedy. Simply put a teaspoon of it on the laundry, the pepper reliably grinds off the soap residue.
- Use salt instead of pepper to achieve the same effect.
- Less by grinding, but by dissolving, you will master the soap residue with vinegar. However, this home remedy does not come directly onto the laundry, but into the compartment for the fabric softener. The vinegar is in good hands there because it also acts as a fabric softener.
- An alternative to vinegar is lemon essence. This home remedy also makes the laundry nice and soft and even makes heavily faded colors shine again.
