Amazon Music does not start on the smartphone or tablet
If you're listening to Amazon Music through an app on your smartphone or tablet, other approaches to solving the problem come into question:
- The first thing you should do is restart the device. In many cases this solves the problem and you can start Amazing Music again.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Amazon Music app.
- On Android, clearing the app cache can fix startup problems from Amazon Music.
- Amazon Music also needs an active internet connection to stream on your mobile device. Therefore, make sure that your smartphone or tablet can download data from the Internet.
- For Amazon Music to work on an external device, it must be authorized accordingly. Check whether your device is correctly authorized in the settings in the section "Manage my devices". You can also reactivate recently revoked authorizations there.
Amazon Music - Windows application does not start
Windows users can also listen to Amazon Music using free software. If this does not start, proceed as follows:
- Here too, restarting the system can solve the problem in many cases without much effort.
- Uninstall Amazon Music completely from your computer. Then download the latest program version from our download area and perform a new installation.
- Since Amazon Music requires a working internet connection, a firewall or antivirus software can also prevent the program from starting. Turn off appropriate security solutions as a test. If Amazon Music starts after that, you must create a corresponding exception rule.
