Programming Arduino graphically - how it works
You can easily program the Arduino graphically. You can find out how to do this in this practical tip.
Program graphically with the Arduino
If you want to program your Arduino not only in a pure text window, you need the free software "Visuino". The software is primarily aimed at hardware developers who have little time to program and newbies who have not yet programmed much with the Arduino.
- When programming with Visuino, you use drag-and-drop blocks and can thus create your program within seconds.
- As a first test, it is best to create a small program that controls an LED. To do this, connect a "digital" element to a pin on the virtual Arduino and define its settings in the sidebar on the left.
- Finally, click the Arduino logo in the top center to convert the programming to Arduino code.
- Tip: If the set board does not match your Arduino, you can change this under "Select Board".
