Days Gone: Tips for a smooth gameplay
Days Gone is a game about a biker and his vehicle in zombie-ridden Oregon. Especially for beginners, the hordes of freakers can quickly become a big problem. There can also be minor accidents that reset game progress. The following tricks will help you prevent minor mishaps.
- Quick save: Save as often as possible and especially when you get back on your bike. You only need to hold down the triangle button to save quickly. If you get overrun near your bike, you can simply reload the game and lose no progress.
- Fast travel points: NERO checkpoints and freak nests (only after clearing the nest) serve as fast travel points. After a quick trip, resources and petrol canisters are refilled. This way you will not run out of gas.
- Traps and Snipers : Keep an eye out for traps (such as plate irons) and snipers near camps. People are dangerous and are not afraid to put you down. Snipers can be easily recognized by the red laser points.
Tips and tricks for bikes and skills
Days Gone uses numerous survival elements with which Deacon can fight freakers and other enemies. The following tips and tricks will make your bike more effective and your skills sharpened.
- Meat and greens : If you want to gain the trust of the individual camps faster, you have to bring meat and plants regularly. There are two skills that you should learn as early as possible: "Butcher" increases the amount of meat after killing an animal and the "Green Thumb" doubles the amount of plants collected.
- Endurance and health : If you find a Nero injection, use it wisely: In the first few hours, the injections should above all increase endurance and health.
- Field Repairs : You should also learn this skill as soon as possible as it allows you to repair melee weapons with scrap. This way you can get your melee weapons for an indefinite period of time. Deacon carries out the repair itself.
Days Gone: Keep Freaker at bay
Freakers in days gone are a big danger and can quickly doom you in hordes. Larger clusters of zombies are difficult to eliminate, especially at the start of the game.
- Flashlight : Near Freakers you should always be aware that they are attracted to the light of your flashlight. So be extra careful at night.
- Loudspeaker : If you want to activate a NERO checkpoint, you must first switch on the power generator. Then all the lights and the central speaker light up. The speaker attracts freakers, so you should cut their line first. Simply climb up to the loudspeaker and cut the cable with the knife.
- Gasoline : Gasoline is particularly important and should always be available. You can get petrol either through canisters or at petrol pumps. The more petrol you have, the more safely you can escape larger hordes. Fortunately, jerry cans and petrol pumps are refilled again and again.
