Gimp: Blur edges - how it works
In this practical tip, we explain how you can blur edges with the software Gimp. Gimp offers its own tool for this.
Use Blur Tool in Gimp - so go ahead
If you don't see the toolbar in Gimp, click on "Window" and "Toolbar" or use the key combination [Ctrl] + [B].
- In the toolbox, select the symbol with the pointing hand called "Smudge".
- Go over the edge in your image and click on it. Wipe the edge until you are happy with the result.
- By the way, you can make various settings for blurring in the toolbox. Among other things, you can change the opacity.
