Google SketchUp: Show shadow - how it works
In this practical tip, we will show you how to show shadows in Google SketchUp. So you can make your design look even more realistic.
Show shadow in Google SketchUp
With the free design software "SketchUp Make 2014" for Windows and Mac OS you can create and design 3D objects with just a few clicks. To make your three-dimensional designs even more realistic, you can have shadows faded in in the 3D software "SktechUp":
- First start Google SktechUp and open your finished drawing.
- Then go to the "View" tab in the menu bar and then click on the "Toolbars" option.
- Place a checkmark in the "Shadow" function in the window that opens and close the window again. You should now see a shadow on your 3D design.
- You can even use the slider on the animation bar to set a specific date and current time of day to create an even more authentic silhouette for your 3D object.
