Read out the graphics card - so it'll work
If you want to learn more about your graphics card, you can read it out in Windows in several ways. We'll show you how it's done.
Read out graphics card with GPU-Z
- Download the free tool GPU-Z and start the EXE file. If you click "No" here, the program will start without installation.
- If you move the mouse over any value, you will be shown a precise definition. Most values are therefore easy to understand.
- If you switch to the "Sensors" tab at the top, the current outputs and the temperature will be displayed.
- Note: If you have additionally installed an on-board graphics card, you can switch between the graphics cards below.
Windows: Read out graphic card with board means
- Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously so that the "Run" window opens.
- Enter the "dxdiag" command here and click the "OK" button.
- Here you will also find information about your graphics card, sound modules and DirectX.
- At the bottom of the window you will also see current error messages for the graphics card.
