Remove Health Alert - Here's how it works
Health Alert's software pretends to want to help you, but it only gets you into trouble. It is also not that easy to remove the software, so we will help you with it. While it is not a virus, you should quickly delete the software from your computer.
Step 1: remove Health Alert from Windows
In most cases, Health Alert is accidentally installed when you install other free software. Health Alert not only nests in your Windows system, but also in the browser.
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Uninstall a program" item under the "Programs" category.
- Sort the list of installed programs by the installation date and search for Health Alert.
- Select the entry and click on the "Uninstall" button at the top. Now follow the further instructions.
- Note: If you find other dubious software that was recently installed, you can also uninstall it after a check.
Step 2: Remove Health Alert from the browser
Health Alert also leaves an add-on in your browser after uninstalling. Follow the instructions below for all installed browsers, even if you are not currently using them.
- Remove add-on in Google Chrome
- Remove add-on in Firefox
- Remove add-on in Internet Explorer
- Remove add-on in Opera
- Remove add-on in Safari
Step 3: delete remains of Health Alert
- Download the free AdwCleaner and start the tool. Installation is not necessary.
- Close all windows and click on the "Search" button. This takes about a minute.
- The AdwCleaner now scans services, files, links, browsers and registry for remnants of Health Alert.
- When the search is finished, click the "Delete" button and then restart your computer.
Step 4: reset browser completely
If Health Alert still appears on your computer, the only help is to reset the browser completely. Follow the instructions below for all installed browsers.
- Reset Google Chrome
- Reset Mozilla Firefox
- Reset Internet Explorer
- Reset Opera
- Reset Safari
Step 5: check your computer for viruses
- You should also clean up your browser shortcuts, as there are often software residues here as well.
