iPhone: delete all contacts at once - how it works
With iPhone, you can only delete your contacts individually using the standard app. With a trick you can delete all contacts at once. We show you how to do this.
Delete all contacts from iPhone at once
- Go to the home screen of your iPhone and open the Settings app.
- Scroll to and tap the Mail, Contacts, Calendar entry.
- Under "Accounts" you will now see the accounts with which your contacts are synchronized. You can recognize them by the entry "Contacts" under the name of the respective account.
- Now tap on one of the accounts, for example "iCloud".
- Then deactivate the "Contacts" option and then tap on "Delete from iPhone".
- Do the same for all other accounts that synchronize your contacts.
Last step: delete remaining iPhone contacts
However, you still have to delete contacts that were not synchronized with an account:
- To do this, open the Contacts app and tap on a contact.
- In the top right, choose the "Edit" button and scroll all the way down to delete the contact.
- Alternatively, you can use third-party apps that even let you delete multiple contacts at the same time.
