Do you want to share the iPhone photos of the last party with your friends? Sharing photo albums is easy with Apple Photo Stream. That's how it works.
How to share pictures in the photo stream with your friends
With the iPhone, you can share a photo stream in just a few steps.
- First you have to create a new photo stream. To do this, go to the gallery and select "Photo stream" from the bottom bar. With a click on the plus symbol at the top left of the screen you can now release a new photo stream.
- In the "To:" field, you can use the blue plus symbol to select contacts from your address book for whom you want to share the photo stream. Alternatively, you can also manually enter the email addresses of the desired photo stream recipients here.
- So that your friends know which photos are involved, you should give your photo stream a meaningful name - eg "Party".
- Use the "Public website" slider to determine whether the photo stream is only shared with your selected friends or is visible to everyone on iCloud.com. This can be useful, for example, if you want your friends to be able to share the link to the photo stream with others. If these are private pictures, you should not activate this option. Whatever you choose, click "Create" to share the photo stream folder.
The photo stream is released - now all you have to do is insert photos
Congratulations, you have now released the photo stream to selected friends. What is missing, of course, are the pictures themselves.
- The new folder will now automatically appear in your photo stream list. To fill it with photos, select it and click on "Edit" in the next window at the top right.
- Now tap the Add button in the lower middle of the screen. Your saved photos on iPhone are displayed. If you have already created albums in the gallery, you can open them with a tap and share all the photos in the album with one click. Alternatively, you can tap the preview images and select individual images. But be careful: Photos from the regular recording folder must always be marked individually. There is no possibility to select all pictures at once.
Photo stream for everyone - friends with iOS have even more fun sharing
Your selected contacts will now receive the invitation to the approved photo stream by email. For iPhone, iPad or iPod users, the stream even appears directly in your own gallery. Users with other operating systems can only view the shared photos via a web browser. IOS users are also free to rate and comment on the photo stream images.
This guide was created on an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.2. To create a photo stream, you should use a WiFi network due to the large amount of data.
