iPhone / iPad: fraud warning in Safari - what is it?
If you receive a fraud warning in Safari on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can usually do little with this message. We clarify it.
Fraud warning on iPhone - what does the message mean in Safari?
- The fraud warning function alerts you that the website you are visiting is a phishing site.
- Phishing websites try to get your personal data such as user names, passwords or account details.
- If, for example, a fraudulent website is known to mimic the online login of a well-known bank, you will be informed by the fraud warning.
- All pages that are reported in Safari have already been entered in a comprehensive register. Errors are therefore excluded. Leave the site at the latest when you have to enter sensitive data.
