iPhone: Remove jailbreak for iOS 7 again
The following instructions refer to the evasi0n jailbreak for iOS 7 from evad3rs. For older jailbreaks or jailbreaks from other providers, the steps may vary slightly.
- Open the Cydia app on your iPhone and delete all applications and installed tweaks there.
- Now search for the "iCleaner" app in Cydia and install it. With it you can remove all unnecessary data from the jailbreak. Then uninstall the app again.
- Connect iPhone to your computer via USB cable and start iTunes. Make a backup so that the system can then be restored in the event of problems.
- You must now put the device into DFU mode. We show you how this works in this practical tip.
- Select your iPhone in iTunes and click on the "Restore iPhone" option. This happens either via an old backup or a complete reinstallation of the iOS. If there is only little data on the device and it takes little time to set up the iPhone again, a complete reinstallation is recommended.
- When the process is complete, the iPhone restarts and the jailbreak is removed. The device restarts several times. Never disconnect it from the computer until the process is complete.
