iTunes Match: duplicate playlists - what to do?
A common problem with iTunes Match is the duplicate playlists on iOS mobile devices. We'll show you how to fix it.
iTunes Match: Delete duplicate playlists
Start iTunes on your computer and, if available, just delete all duplicate playlists. If they do not exist twice, follow the further instructions:
- Go to playlists in iTunes and right-click the playlist that appears twice on the left.
- Select the "Export" option and save the playlist on your desktop.
- Right-click the playlist again and select the "Delete" option.
- Sync iTunes Match and restart the music app on your iPhone or iPad until the playlist disappears.
- Then go back to iTunes and click on the "File" category at the top of the menu bar. If this is not visible, press the "Ctrl" and "B" keys simultaneously.
- Under "Media library", select the "Import playlist" option and open the deleted playlist from the desktop.
- If you synchronize iTunes Match and your iOS device again, the playlist no longer appears twice.
