Kindle: Show MAC address - how it works
If you have activated a MAC filter in your router, you must add your Kindles' MAC address to the exception list in order to be able to surf the Internet. We'll tell you how to display the address.
Amazon Kindle: Find out MAC address
The MAC address is an individual code of letters and numbers that can be used to uniquely identify your Kindle. As a rule, you only need the MAC address if you use a MAC filter.
- To read out your MAC address, first switch on your Amazon Kindle.
- From the home screen, press your Kindles' menu button.
- In the main menu, select the "Settings" entry.
- If you go to the next page once, you will see your "WLAN MAC address" in the "Device info" section.
