Set up WiFi connection on Kindle
In just a few steps you can activate the WLAN on your Kindle. Further tips on setting up and switching off the WLAN connection can be found in the following picture gallery.
Touch the menu button in the upper right area of the screen. A menu area opens.
Select "Turn on wireless connection" here.
If a wireless connection has already been set up on your Kindle, it will now connect automatically.
If not, proceed as described in the picture gallery.

To set up a WiFi connection on your Kindle, touch the "Menu" button in the upper right-hand area of the screen and select "Settings".
Next, select the »WLAN« area. Here you can already see how many WLAN connections the device is currently receiving when the WLAN is switched on.
Now select your WiFi network in the WiFi menu. If you are already connected, you will see a tick in front of the network name.
If your selected wireless connection is protected, now enter the password. To do this, an on-screen keyboard opens in the lower display area.
Under »Menu« -> »Switch off wireless connection« you can deactivate WiFi again. You should always do this when you are not using WiFi, since WiFi shortens your battery life from a few months to a few hours.
