Kodi / XBMC: Use Spotify - so it'll work
If you want to use Spotify in Kodi / XBMC as well, all you have to do is install the correct add-on. this gives you access to your favorite music through the open source media center. We'll show you how it's done.
Step 1: install SuperRepo on Kodi / XBMC
To use Spotify you need the add-on "Spotimc". The add-on is already included in the SuperRepo collection. If you have already installed SuperRepo, follow the instructions in the third paragraph directly.
- Start Kodi / XBMC and select the "File Manager" under "SYSTEM".
- Select the "Add source" option on the left and enter the link "//srp.nu/" above.
- Click the "Done" button, rename the source below to "SuperRepo" and click "Done" and "OK".
Step 2: import Spotify add-on into Kodi / XBMC
- Go back to the start page and select the "Settings" under "SYSTEM".
- Click on "Add-Ons" at the bottom left and select the option "Install from zip file".
- Decide on the source "SuperRepo" and choose your installed version of Kodi, eg "Helix" or "Isengard".
- Open the "all" folder and then the "repository.superrepo.org" file.
- The SuperRepo add-ons are now imported into Kodi.
Step 3: install Spotify on Kodi / XBMC
- Go back to the "Add-Ons" category and select the "Get Add-Ons" option.
- Then click on "SuperRepo" and "Music Add-Ons".
- Scroll down a bit and select the "Spotimc" extension.
- Install the add-on and return to the home screen. Here you will find Spotimc and can log in.
