How to force a blank line in LaTeX
The LaTeX software package makes it easy to force an empty line. This is how you have to do it in the LaTeX editor Texmaker to insert an empty line:
- With a double backslash \\ you first insert a line break.
- Now press the return key.
- Now insert a backslash \\ twice in the new line.
- Now press [Return] again.
- Now you can continue typing on the next line as usual, an empty line has been forced.
In an additional practical tip, we will show you how to easily install the LaTeX software package under Windows.
