LaTeX: Create a symbol directory - how it works
A symbol directory can be easily created in the LaTeX word processor. In this practical tip, we will show you exactly how this works.
Create a symbol directory in LaTeX - so it'll work
- With the command "\ usepackage {listofsymbols} the symbol directory is loaded in the program.
- You define the individual symbols as such with the command "\ newsym [Text] {Symbol}.
- Swap "text" and "symbol" with the respective values in your document.
- You must define these symbols with "\ opensymdef" and "\ closesymdef".
- After you have made the definition, the actual symbol directory is created with "\ listofsymbols".
