LaTeX: Enter infinity characters - how it works
When it comes to mathematical representations, you can also use LaTeX to enter an infinity character. We'll show you which command to use.
Insert infinity characters in LaTeX
You can enter the infinity or infinity symbol using the math mode in LaTeX:
- Mathematics mode allows you to enter certain commands that are important in connection with mathematical representations.
- You start and end the mode by entering a dollar sign. The command or an entire chain of commands is between the dollar signs.
- The command for the infinity symbol is "\ infty". Overall, your input is "$ \ infty $". In the screenshot you can see the correct entry and, in parallel, the result in the generated PDF file.
A lot more works with LaTeX. For example, we show you how you can use LaTeX to superscript and subscript numbers.
