Microsoft OneDrive: Erase saved Windows settings and device data
In Windows 8 and 10, the cloud "OneDrive" stores all settings and device data of your Windows devices. To delete them, only a few steps are necessary, which we will show you in this practical tip.
Clear saved Windows settings in OneDrive
- Visit the OneDrive web app and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Click the gear icon next to your name in the top right and select "Options" from the drop-down menu.
- Now go to "Device backups" in the navigation bar on the left.
- Here you can see a list of all devices that you use or have used with Windows and your Microsoft account.
- To remove the data from one of the devices, click on the corresponding button behind and confirm again with "Delete".
