Integrate OneDrive into the "Send to" menu - how it works
In this article we will show you how to integrate OneDrive into the "Send to" menu and thus upload files to cloud storage even faster. To do this, you need the OneDrive desktop app.
Integrate OneDrive into Windows Explorer
Windows 8 has a built-in app for OneDrive, but that doesn't help in the desktop view. Anyone who works in Windows Explorer will not find access. Under Windows 8 you also need the OneDrive desktop app:
- Download the OneDrive desktop app.
- Start the setup, confirm the proposed local folder and log in with your access data. In the future, OneDrive will be available in favorites and directly in the specified folder and will be synchronized automatically.

Create a shortcut for OneDrive in the "Send to" menu
- Open the relevant system folder by typing "shell: sendto" in the address bar of Windows Explorer and pressing the Enter key. Otherwise you will also find the "Send to" folder under the path "C: \ Users \\ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Windows \ SendTo".
- Then use the key combination [Windows] + [E] to open another window of the Explorer and drag the OneDrive shortcut from the favorites into the right area of the first window so that a new shortcut is created there.
- In the future, OneDrive will be conveniently available as a destination. To transfer a file, right-click on the desired entry in Explorer and select »Send to | OneDrive. " The file is uploaded and synchronized on all linked devices.
You can also encrypt OneDrive. In the next article we will show you how.
