In this practical tip, we explain step by step how to link text fields in OpenOffice.
OpenOffice Writer: How to link text fields
- In the OpenOffice Writer, go to "Insert" in the menu bar and then to "Area".
- In the new dialog, click on "Insert" and enter your desired text.
- If you would like to link this text field to another, click "Insert" in the menu bar and then "Area".
- At this point, select the text field you want to link from the list on the left.
- Place a checkmark next to "Link" and enter the other text field under "Area".
- Note: You must of course have created the required text fields / areas beforehand.
