OpenOffice: Find and replace words
In OpenOffice you can search for words and replace all results in one fell swoop. Corrections can be done in a few seconds. We will explain the feature to you.
Find and replace words in OpenOffice
- In the OpenOffice menu bar, click on "Edit"> "Find and Replace". Alternatively, you can use the key combination [Ctrl] + [F].
- Now the "Search and Replace" window opens: Under "Search for" enter the word to be replaced. In the "Replace with" area, type the expression you want to use instead.
- If the program should pay attention to "upper / lower case", then tick the box and start the search by clicking on the button of the same name.
- You can check all the positions found individually using "Search" and "Replace". This method is particularly recommended if the expression is not to be changed in all sentences.
- If you want to search the entire document and replace everything, click on "Find all" and then on "Replace all".
