Plants vs. Zombies 2: The five best tips
In this practical tip, we present you the five best tips on plants vs. Zombies 2 before. With this, the hunt for keys, stars and new plants is guaranteed to succeed. Last but not least, it also protects your brain from hungry undead.
5. The special fertilizer
With the new special fertilizer, your plants will be in top form. It is particularly useful for the following plants:
- Walnut and walnut: If you have to keep a lot of opponents, but are only allowed to use or lose a few plants, apply the special fertilizer to a walnut. He's giving her armor. So the nut withstands significantly more attacks.
- Catapults: fertilize a corn, melon or cabbage catapult, throw projectiles in all directions and damage several zombies at the same time or stop them for a while. This is how you can protect your brain optimally, even in particularly large waves.
- Bloomerang: With special fertilizers, this plant becomes a particularly effective destroyer. It shoots countless boomerangs through a row and flattens everything that stands in the way. If the zombies have almost reached your house, you can use them to avert the danger again.
- Sunflowers and double sunflowers: In some levels, you have to collect a lot of suns before you destroy the last zombie wave. Fertilize a sunflower, literally throws you around with suns. This will help you reach your goal faster.
4. Kill the Yeti Zombie!
Every now and then a rare yeti zombie appears in one of the worlds:
- You can see which level it is on on the overview map.
- Enter the level and play it.
- As soon as you discover the Yeti, you should fire up what it takes. Also use special fertilizers for attack plants to get them out faster. If you don't do it quickly enough, it will seek out the distance again.
- If you have transported the rare zombie specimen to the afterlife, you will receive a small surprise.
3. Combine the right plants
Your plant army can only work effectively if it works together. If you place the plants correctly on the field, victory is within your grasp:
- Pack of choy and walnuts: To keep zombies away from your sunflowers and shooting plants, plant a pack of choy and a walnut in front of them. While the undead are working on the nut, the hard hooks of the powerful cabbage will take care of you.
- Walnut and porcupine: The same principle applies here as above. If you plant a walnut and porcupine in front of it, the zombies are stopped. As long as you gnaw on the nut, the deadly thorns give you the rest.
2. The specialties of the individual worlds in Plants vs. Zombies 2
On your journey through time, you are currently visiting three different worlds in PVZ 2: ancient Egypt, the Pirate Lake and the wild west. The playing fields each have their own peculiarities, which you should adjust to in order to successfully complete the levels with your brain intact:
- Ancient Egypt: There are not only nasty Ra zombies stealing the sun from you, but also cumbersome tombstones. Normal pea cannons cannot shoot over it and only hit zombies when you have passed them. Either use catapults to overcome the obstacles or use bloomerangs. They always hit three targets at the same time - thus two zombies behind the tombstone. The advantage here: At the same time the gravestone is destroyed. So you create space for new plants.
- The Pirate Lake: Here your playing fields are severely decimated and are replaced by water. This is where pirate zombies swing directly to your plants. In addition, cannons fire nasty dwarf zombies over the water. For example, put the porcupine directly on the water, behind it a walnut and behind it a pack of choy. How to effectively keep the undead away. Caution: Sometimes zombies carried by seagulls fly over the water. A corn catapult is recommended here. The butter bites the flying beasts with a shot from the sky.
- The wild west: Here you can also put your plants on wagons and slide them back and forth on rails. Use such places at the beginning for normal peas and then continue to upgrade in order to always have a strong bullet available in every row. Pea pods are particularly suitable here. They are comparatively cheap and can always be expanded.
1. Use these tips to effectively complete tasks to collect stars
To get all the stars in a world, you not only have to survive zombie waves, you also have to do certain tasks. Here we present a selection and possible solutions:
- Collect suns: Should you collect 3000 suns and time is running out, the following trick will help in many levels. Plant as many sunflowers as you can without neglecting your defenses. Then kill all zombies except the last one. Tear off all attacking plants in its row and keep stopping it with a new walnut. Keep planting sunflowers. When you have collected the required number of suns, execute the last undead - for example with a targeted punch from the Pack Choy.
- Do not lose plants: If you are only allowed to lose a few plants in a challenge, you should pay particular attention to how you stock your seed positions. Under no circumstances should you take plants that can only be used once - for example iceberg lettuce or chilli. That also counts as a loss. Use walnuts and reinforce them with special fertilizers. In waves, use it specifically on attack plants to keep the horde at a distance from your plants.
- Do many zombies at once: If you want to get rid of many zombies in a short time, the special fertilizer is again recommended. Plant catapults, collect as many fertilizer leaves as possible and wait for a wave. If there are many zombies on the field, fertilize the catapults as much as possible.
The game is available for download for Android, iPhone and iPad free of charge. If the zombies have destroyed your lawn, you should quickly sow a new one for the optics. Of course, it is faster if you lay turf. We will show you how this works in another article.
