Rdio: MP3 download - how it works
The free MP3 download of streaming services like rdio.com is not possible without additional programs. This practical tip shows you how you can still save individual titles and even automatically name them correctly.
Download music from rdio
To download music from Rdio, you have to record the stream, so to speak. Audials Tunebit is suitable for this, which you can download as a demo version from CHIP.
- After starting the program, switch to the "Record music" view in the left selection menu.
- Click on "Audio / Music Recording" and then select "Sound Recording with Song Separation".
- "Start recording now" starts the music recording. Now you can start playing all the songs you want to record with Rdio one by one. Tip: Before starting the recording, quit all other programs that play or could play sounds. Since Audials Tunebit records everything you would normally hear, there is a risk of unwanted noise.
- The individual songs are cut by Audials Tunebite during the recording and are relatively reliably given the artist and name. If that doesn't work, you can add the information manually. Once you have recorded all the tracks you want, select "Stop sound recording" in the upper left corner.
- The desired MP3 files are then automatically stored in your user directory under »... \ Music \ Audials \ Audials Recorded Music« (Windows 7). Alternatively, you can also select an individual storage location in the »Export memory«.
