Use TeamViewer without the Internet - how it works
If you want to access a computer in the immediate vicinity, you can also use TeamViewer without the Internet. We'll show you how it's done.
Use TeamViewer without internet
Start TeamViewer on both devices and make the following settings there:
- Click on "Tools" in the menu bar at the top and select the "Options".
- Under the "Network settings" category you will find the "Incoming LAN connections" option.
- Select "Allow only" and close the window with "OK".
- TeamViewer no longer tries to connect to the Internet to assign you an ID. Your ID now consists of your IP.
- To access the other computer, you must both be on the same network. Connect both PCs to the router using a LAN cable or establish the LAN connection directly between the two devices. You may have to activate your LAN connection.
- Note: This also works if only one computer is not connected to the Internet. The settings then only have to be carried out on this PC. The other computer can also be connected to the network via WLAN.
