Twitter: Secure personal data - how it works
You can also save your personal data on Twitter. We'll explain how to do it.
Back up personal data on Twitter - this is how you proceed
You can have all tweets sent to you by email with one click:
- Log in to your Twitter account and click on the gear icon at the top.
- Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. You will then be in the "Account" area.
- At the very bottom you will find the button "Request your archive" (see picture).
- If you click on it, you will receive an email with a link. Use the link to download a ZIP archive that you only have to unzip. You can use the free 7-Zip program, for example.
- The archive is now available as an HTML structure. You only have to click twice on the "index.html" and all tweets will open in your browser, sorted by date.
