Windows 7: Include downloads in the start menu
The fastest way to get to important folders is from the Windows Start menu. In Windows 7, you can even add your downloads. We'll show you how it works.
Show downloads in the Windows start menu
- Open the Windows start menu and right-click on an empty space.
- Select "Properties" and then the "Customize" button.
- In the "Downloads" section activate the option "Show as link".
- Finally confirm the changes with "Ok" and "Apply".
Instead of including the downloads in the start menu, you can also change the download folder in Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
