- Press the [Windows] and [R] keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "mdsched.exe" here and click the "OK" button. Windows memory diagnostics then starts.
- Select the "Restart now and check for problems" option.
- This process takes about five to ten minutes. In some cases, it may take a little longer. Never turn off the computer.
- If Windows has restarted, you will see a report on the memory.
MemTest: Check RAM for errors
- In addition to the Windows check, you can use the free MemTest software.
- The tool tests whether errors occur during storage and how fast the processing runs.
- If you want a reliable result, you should run the test for a longer period of time. The result is really reliable only after a runtime of one hour.
