Restart Windows Explorer - Here's how

Restart Windows Explorer on Windows 7
- Open the task manager with the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del].
- Switch to the "Processes" tab and right-click on the "explorer.exe" process.
- Click "End Process".
- Then select "File" -> "New Task" and enter "explorer.exe" and confirm with [Enter].
Restart Windows Explorer on Windows 8 and 8.1
- Open the Task Manager with [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Del] and click on "More Details" below.
- Right-click on "Windows Explorer" in the "Processes" tab and select "Restart".
