Synchronize two iPhones
You can synchronize two iPhones with each other, for example to transfer your calendar, contacts or emails to a new iPhone. The easiest way is to sync via iCloud. You can find out how it works in our practical tip.
Sync iPhone with each other via iCloud
If you want to transfer your contacts, calendar data or emails to a new iPhone, you need an iCloud account.
- Open the settings on your iPhone.
- Select the "iCloud" menu item here.
- Now activate all controls for the information you want to transfer to the new iPhone, such as "Contacts" or "Notes". For this you have to activate the respective controller (see picture).
- Now scroll down and select "Storage & Backup".
- In the next window, activate the "iCloud backup" option under "Backup" and then click on "Create backup".
Transfer backup to the second iPhone
You can now transfer the created backup to the new iPhone. This also gives you access to your contacts and emails from your new iPhone.
- First, set up a WiFi connection on your new iPhone as part of the setup wizard. Then, in the step "Configure iPhone" you have to press "Restore from iCloud backup".
- Enter your Apple ID and agree to the terms of use.
- Now all available backups are displayed. Select the most recent backup.
- Your contacts, calendar and emails are now transferred to the new iPhone.
