If you browse something in the Control Panel under Windows 7 or 8, you will quickly come across Aero Peek. We'll tell you what it is and what you need the function for.
What can Aero Peek do?
Aero Peek is part of the Windows Aero interface. Aero equips Windows with some features that should make working more beautiful and easier. Aero Peek is responsible for the following functions.
- Show Dekstop: If you move the mouse to the bottom right corner of the screen in Windows 7 or 8, almost all windows are hidden and the desktop is displayed. Only the frames of the opened windows are still very easy to see. So you can look at the desktop without having to minimize all windows and then maximize them again.
- Window preview: If you move the mouse over the icon of an open program or window in the task bar, a small preview of the window appears.
- Note: These functions are only supported if Aero Peek is activated. If the Aero Basic function is activated instead, the little helpers will not work.
This practical tip will tell you what Aero Snap is and how you can deactivate the sometimes annoying option.
