Preparing to downgrade Android
Before you can start the actual version downgrade of Android without root, you have to make a few preparations:
- First of all, you should make a backup of your data so that it is not lost.
- For safety, we recommend that you charge your smartphone battery up to 80 percent so that it is sufficiently charged for the subsequent processes.
- Please note that the smartphone can no longer be used if it is operated incorrectly. Properly performing the downgrade will not pose any problems.

Do Android downgrade without root
After you have completed all the preparations, you can now start downgrading the Android version. These steps are based on Odin 3.10 under Windows 7, but should not differ significantly under other program versions.
- Press and hold the home button, power button and volume down button simultaneously for about 10 seconds and then switch the device off.
- A warning will appear. Confirm this with the volume up key.
- Now open Odin on your PC by starting "Odin.exe" from the "Odin" folder in the previous download. Only now connect your smartphone to the PC.
- Under Odin click on "PDA" on the right and select the downloaded Android version.
- Start by clicking on "Start". When the process is successfully completed, a green "PASS!" Appears at the top of the window.
- As soon as the smartphone starts again, you can disconnect it from the PC. You can use the settings to check whether the downgrade worked.
